First look of Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja – As a Chandrayaan-2 launch theme!
With just two days to go for Ganesh Chaturthi, Mumbai’s known Lalbaugcha Raja’s first look was revealed on Friday night. Devotees cheered as the curtains to the much-awaited majestic Ganesha idol were lifted. To give a contemporary look to the famous pandal, Chandrayaan-2 launch was chosen as the theme this year. The Lalbaugcha Raja idol will be immersed on September 12. Before you head to the pandal for ‘mukh darshan‘, here’s the first glimpse of Lalbaugcha Raja
The 10-day long festivity which is due to commence on September 2 this year, falls on the fourth day of Bhadrapada month in the Hindu calendar.
The Lalbaughcha Raja Ganesha idol is one of the most anticipated and visited pandal among others. Standing at a height of approximately 20 ft, it was first installed in the year 1934.
After the end of the festival, the idol is taken for visarjan and immersed into the Arabian Sea.

Meaning, “O Deva, Please Make my Undertakings Free of Obstacles, By extending Your Blessings in All my Works, Always.
